THE STORY
A Legacy Built in the Bush
For over two decades, the Amazing Race has brought together 4WD enthusiasts from across Australia to test their navigation, teamwork, and sense of adventure.
What began as a grassroots navigation event has grown into one of the most recognised and respected experiences in the 4WD community.
Today, that legacy continues under 4WD Events Australia—combining classic navigation with modern technology, immersive challenges, and a strong focus on community.
Whether you're a seasoned competitor or giving it a go for the first time, the Amazing Race is designed to challenge you, reward you, and keep you coming back.
WHAT IS IT?
The Amazing Race is a 4WD navigation adventure where teams use maps, GPS coordinates, and clues to locate checkpoints across a course.
It’s not about speed—it’s about strategy, decision-making, and making the most of your time on the track.
Each event is designed around exploration, problem-solving, and shared experiences—both on the course and back at base camp.
THE EXPERIENCE
While the competition is real, the atmosphere is what sets the Amazing Race apart.
Evenings are spent back at base camp—sharing stories, enjoying meals, and connecting with other teams.
It’s just as much about the people and the journey as it is about the results.
Built for the Whole Family
The Amazing Race isn’t just for drivers and navigators—it’s designed to be enjoyed by the whole family.
Younger participants can get involved with their own simplified course notes, follow along with the adventure, and even compete for their own trophies.
Back at camp, there are activities each evening to keep everyone engaged, creating a relaxed and welcoming environment for all ages.
At Easter, the experience goes a step further—with a special visit from the Easter Bunny on Sunday morning, making it a memorable weekend for younger adventurers.
The weekend finishes with a full camp gathering, including a buffet dinner and presentation night where results are revealed and trophies are awarded.

Easter Long Weekend
A classic, navigation-focused adventure set in the Wimmera region and Little Desert.
