Daniel “Ruffy” Hose. Daniel was born and raised in Geelong Vic. As an apprentice at the Local Toyota Dealership Daniel Started going 4wding with work colleagues and before long was hitting the mud of the Otways in his own rig with the ‘L’ Plates on before he was 18. Soon after his 18th birthday Trips to the High Country on long weekends become the norm. An ad in a 4WD magazine for an event piqued Daniel’s interest in 1998. A first place trophy sat beside him on the way home from event and he was hooked. A swag of Trophies From Navruns, Cliffhangers and the Pajero challenge Now collect dust on his bookshelves. Combined with years of Outback touring Daniel’s offroad road experience is extensive to say the least. Daniel joined the Navrun Family in 2017 organising events. ‘Old School’ knowledge With a touch of innovation combines with his Quirky and often demanding sense of humour to test your wit and sanity as much as your skills. In 2022 Gaz & Ruffy decided to pool their experience and expertise to create 4wd Events Australia. Ruffy Currently resides in Leopold Vic with his Amazing Partner Kerryl and Step son. He works as an Operations manager for a Transport Company.

Gary “Gaz” Coates Gary is a country boy, born and raised on a farm around the Goldfields in Central vic. Gary was brought up around 4wds on the farm and the bug stuck with him. With desert trips and Cape york jaunts under his belt Gary has more than enough experience to keep himself out of trouble, or get into it! Gary has been competing in Navigation events for over ten years and not long after he started competing he found the desire to Organise and run events. He ran his own Events under the Nav Challenge banner for multiple years before joining the Navrun family and bringing his eclectic navigation styles to the party. Well known for his ‘outside of the box’ thinking and a drive to continually improve and innovate, Gary’s events have always proved to be crowd favourites even though some competitors are still left scratching their heads. In 2022 Gaz & Ruffy decided to pool their experience and expertise to create 4wd Events Australia. Gary has 3 young girls with his beautiful wife Riki and they currently reside in Bendigo. Gary works in the 4wd industry carrying out custom touring builds and fitting accessories.
